Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PTSD Dogs Foundation website, forms, applications, programs, services, and communications.

By accessing our website, submitting a form, registering for a program, making a donation, or otherwise interacting with PTSD Dogs Foundation, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. About PTSD Dogs Foundation

PTSD Dogs Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals, trainers, organizations, and communities involved in service-dog and assistance-dog programs.

Our website may provide information about our mission, registration programs, educational resources, participating trainers or organizations, events, fundraising efforts, and other services offered by PTSD Dogs Foundation.

Information provided through our website is for general informational and educational purposes. Participation in a PTSD Dogs Foundation program does not replace professional medical, mental-health, veterinary, legal, or disability-related advice.

2. Eligibility and Accurate Info

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when submitting an application, registration, donation, inquiry, or other form.

You are responsible for updating your information when necessary. PTSD Dogs Foundation may delay, deny, suspend, or cancel an application or registration if information is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or cannot be verified.

You must be at least 18 years old to enter into an agreement with PTSD Dogs Foundation. A parent or legal guardian must complete submissions involving a minor.

3. Registration & Program Participation

Submitting an application or registration does not guarantee acceptance, certification, approval, funding, placement, insurance coverage, or participation in any PTSD Dogs Foundation program.

PTSD Dogs Foundation may establish eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, training standards, renewal requirements, fees, or other program conditions. These requirements may vary depending on the program or service requested.

Participants are responsible for complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, public-access requirements, animal-control rules, and program standards.

Unless expressly stated in writing, PTSD Dogs Foundation does not guarantee:

  • That a particular dog will qualify as a service or therapy dog;

  • That a dog will be suitable for a particular handler or task;

  • That a registration, identification card, document, or listing will establish legal service-dog status;

  • That a third party, business, housing provider, employer, school, airline, or government agency will accept documentation issued or facilitated through PTSD Dogs Foundation; or

  • That participation will produce a particular medical, behavioral, training, financial, or legal outcome.

Participation in any Foundation program does not grant legal service dog status, therapy dog certification, emotional support animal designation, disability determination, or public access rights.

4. Service-Dog & Disability Disclaimer

Service-dog rights and responsibilities are governed by applicable law. Registration, identification cards, certificates, equipment, database listings, or other materials do not independently create legal service-dog status or public-access rights.

Users are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to their circumstances. PTSD Dogs Foundation does not provide legal advice and does not represent that its website, documents, or programs satisfy every legal requirement in every jurisdiction.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, medical opinion, or substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Trainer & Third-Party Services

PTSD Dogs Foundation may provide information about trainers, evaluators, service providers, insurance providers, sponsors, partner organizations, or other third parties.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, those parties operate independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of PTSD Dogs Foundation.

PTSD Dogs Foundation does not guarantee or warrant the quality, safety, availability, licensing, insurance, conduct, methods, results, or suitability of any third-party service provider. Users are responsible for independently evaluating any trainer, provider, organization, or service before entering into an agreement.

Any contract, payment, dispute, injury, loss, or claim arising from a third party’s services is between the user and that third party unless PTSD Dogs Foundation expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

6. Donations, Fees, & Payments

Donations support the mission and operations of PTSD Dogs Foundation. Unless otherwise required by law, donations are voluntary and generally nonrefundable.

Program, registration, administrative, event, replacement-card, insurance, or other fees will be disclosed before payment. Certain fees may be nonrefundable once processing or services have begun.

Users are responsible for providing accurate billing information and authorizing all charges submitted through the website.

Tax-deductibility depends on applicable law and the donor’s individual circumstances. Donors should consult a qualified tax professional regarding deductibility.

7. Supplemental Insurance

Certain programs may offer access to supplemental insurance or insurance-related benefits. Coverage may be provided or administered by an independent insurance company or third-party provider.

Eligibility, exclusions, deductibles, limitations, effective dates, claims decisions, and coverage determinations are governed exclusively by the applicable insurance policy and provider documents.

PTSD Dogs Foundation is not an insurance company and does not guarantee that a claim will be approved or that a particular expense, incident, animal, handler, or service will be covered.

8. Email Communications

By providing your email address, you may receive communications related to your inquiry, registration, application, donation, account, event participation, or other requested services.

Where permitted by law and based on your selections, you may also receive newsletters, fundraising messages, organizational announcements, educational resources, or promotional communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. Transactional or account-related emails may continue when necessary to provide a requested service.

Opt-In and Consent

You will receive text messages only after providing consent through an approved opt-in method, such as selecting an unchecked consent checkbox on a website form, submitting a designated keyword, or completing another clearly disclosed opt-in process.

Your consent applies only to PTSD Dogs Foundation and the message categories identified when you opt in.

By opting in, you authorize PTSD Dogs Foundation to send SMS or MMS messages to the mobile number you provided. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology.

Your consent is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, content, programs, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

18. Termination

PTSD Dogs Foundation may suspend or terminate access to the website, services, programs, accounts, registrations, or communications when necessary to enforce these Terms, protect participants or the organization, comply with law, prevent fraud, or address safety or security concerns.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, indemnification, and dispute-related provisions.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the States in which PTSD Dogs Foundation Operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of our services must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the States that PTSD Dogs Foundation operates, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
